career road map
animation director
cg supervisor
Being in a position to guide and work with a team of animators has always been a special part of my life. The sheer joy of seeing an idea shape up and then getting executed right in front of you on a daily basis, piece by piece is simply marvelous. The main challenge is to try and complete a task in a given amount of time with the quality that satisfies the client as well as the artist. During my tenure as a animation supervisor, I understood that its not only important to get the project working, but also the artist who are working on it. The satisfaction is immense.

As a cg supervisor my primary goals were to implement the technical and artistic pipeline and workflow for the project. This would also include assisting the producer to review the budget. Based on the requirements of the project, carrying out look development tasks to suit the schedule as well as doing justice to the project. I also believe having a strong communication skills also helps in building the confidence of the team as well as the client.
animation faculty
I had the best time working on shots, acting them out, getting feedback from some of the best supervisors i worked with. This by far was the most fulfilling experience. I do try and animate if given an opportunity.
Even though i did this as a profession a while back, i still practice it to date. Sharing knowledge should never stop no matter what position you are working in. It is always a collective effort of individuals that shows on the screen.
